Legio Aeterna ("the Game") is operated at legioaeterna.com. We respect your privacy and aim to collect only what we need to provide you with a great experience. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use a third-party login (such as Google or Discord), your basic profile information from that provider.
Gameplay data: Your character progress, inventory, quest state, and other game saves are stored so you can continue your journey between sessions.
Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are handled directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details.
Local Storage
The Game uses your browser's localStorage to save game state locally for fast access. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly sync your progress.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Game:
- Supabase: authentication and database hosting
- Stripe: payment processing
- Third-party services: dynamic game narration
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve the Game, process payments, communicate important updates, and ensure fair play. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Dynamic Narration & Your Gameplay
When you play, your recent actions and game context are used to generate narrative responses. We use only the gameplay context needed for the current scene, not your email, payment details, or other personal information.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, we remove your personal data from our systems. Some anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you are in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
